Role Overview
Serving as a first point of contact for line managers and employees, this role is responsible for providing onsite HR leadership, guidance and coaching with individual needs and HR processes in India organisations to achieve business goals in the short and long term and in alignment with Global HR strategy and Global Commercial business strategy.
S / he will Act as trusted HR business partner to the line managers and stakeholders to provide inputs to business and operational plan in compliance to local legislation and global requirement.
Additionally, the HR Manager oversees administrative functions to ensure smooth office operations and a conducive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
HR Responsibilities :
”Walking the floor” being available for line manager and employee needs.
Act as trusted employee advocate and coach to the line managers and stakeholders in the following areas :
Provide inputs to business, budgetary, and operational plan to achieve business goals and objectives
Support the organization to attract, develop and retain the employees to achieve its current objectives and long term growth
Develop and implement India specific HR plans, program and policies
Lead implementation and continuous upgrade of local employee recognition program.
Conduct annual review such as performance management, bonus cycle, salary review processes
Advise, coach, and support the Line Managers in adopting best HR practices across the organization and ensure compliance with local employment legislation and global policies
Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations
Act as role model to employees in the demonstration of company values, and proactively drive and implement company culture. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Lead employee engagement / communication for entire India organisation on HR related agenda
Partner with line management and global Employee & Organization Development function to strengthen both India organisation and people capabilities
Set department goals, objectives and plans for the India HR function
Prepare annual and quarterly budgets including labor costs and headcount, monitor expenditure
Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to drive data-informed decision-making
Act as HR representative during internal and external audits
Support cross border employee relocation discussions and implementation
Lead / contribute to projects / initiatives as assigned by Management

Administrative Responsibilities :
Provide strategic oversight for all administrative functions, ensuring efficient and effective office operations
Supervise the management of office fixed assets, inventory, and logistics for internal / external events.
Ensure vendor management, office expenses, and facility management are effectively handled.
Supervise the Admin resource to manage travel arrangements and related logistics efficiently.
Monitor all administrative activities to maintain office upkeep and ensure timely vendor payments.
Lead, mentor, and supervise the Admin resource, ensuring the successful execution of administrative functions and professional development of the team.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience
S / he requires a minimum of 5-8 years of HR experience, which must include at least 2-3 years of managerial experience, preferably acquired in a multinational organization with matrix structure.
Experience in medical device industry preferred
Skills / Accreditations
Demonstrate ability to effectively negotiate with management to achieve both HR and business objectives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and at ease in dealing with people at all levels.
Integrity and trustworthy.
Possess a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
Independent, result oriented and team player.
Academic Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline followed by Master’s degree in HR is preferred.
