Senior Manager - Health, Safety and Environmental

Job Summary :

We are seeking an accomplished Safety Operations Director to lead our safety operations team in delivering exceptional results and ensuring the highest standards of safety across all departments.

Main Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with senior management to address strategic areas, project scheduling, staffing needs, equipment requirements, and projected peak workloads, guaranteeing global consistency and alignment.
• Ensure direct reports are cross-trained on our comprehensive Safety service offering, enabling them to provide expert support and guidance.
• Maintain training plans, identifying staff development needs in collaboration with our Training and Development team, and implementing targeted programs to enhance their skills and expertise.
• Lead and motivate direct reports in driving continuous improvement initiatives across departmental work processes, procedures, and infrastructure, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Work closely with our Safety Management team in a matrix framework to achieve project goals, customer deliverables, and organizational objectives.
• Hold regular meetings with direct reports to discuss project status, timelines, delivery updates, financial aspects, potential risks, mitigation strategies, team utilization rates, administrative obligations, personnel issues, career or training objectives, and create action plans for measuring and improving employee engagement.
• Create and implement strategies for measuring and enhancing employee engagement, promoting a supportive working environment and driving business success.
• Possibly serve as a substitute or ensure coverage is in place for direct reports during their absence or in case of turnover, guaranteeing continuity and minimal disruption to operations.
