Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Sr. System Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team within the BFSI sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing virtualized environments, user identity systems, and core datacenter operations. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems that support financial services operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- VMware Administration :
- Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter environments.
- Monitor performance and optimize virtual machines and resources.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Active Directory Management :
- Manage user accounts, group policies, and domain services.
- Ensure secure authentication and access control across systems.
- Troubleshoot AD replication and login issues.
- Networking Fundamentals :
- Support basic network troubleshooting (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routing).
- Collaborate with network teams to ensure connectivity and performance.
- Monitor network health and escalate issues as needed.
- Datacenter Operations :
- Perform routine hardware checks and maintenance.
- Manage server racks, cabling, and environmental controls.
- Support patch management and system updates.
- Security & Compliance :
- Implement and maintain security best practices in line with SEBI regulations.
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with IT policies.
- Documentation & Reporting :
- Maintain accurate system documentation and change logs.
- Generate reports on system performance, uptime, and incidents.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in any related field.5–10 years of experience in system administration, preferably in BFSI or regulated environments.Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.Familiarity with datacenter hardware and operations.Preferred Skills :
Experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a huge advantages .Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash) for automation is optional.Certifications such as MCSA, VCP, CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are advantageous.Soft Skills :
