Qualification B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgy)

Hands-on experience in capex procurement

Job Description : -

• Proven expertise in CAPEX procurement (DRI kilns, power plant turbines, SMS machinery).
• Strong knowledge of EPC contracts, international sourcing, logistics, and customs.
• Execute end-to-end procurement and contracting activities for DRI Plant, Captive Power Plant, and Steel Melting Shop (SMS) projects capex items. Ensure timely availability of equipment, machinery, and services at optimum cost, while maintaining compliance, quality, and project timelines.
• Float tenders / RFQs and evaluate techno-commercial offers in coordination with Engineering & Projects.
• Assist in vendor identification, evaluation, and development (domestic & international) as per project requirements.
• Support in price negotiations, terms finalization, and preparation of purchase orders / contracts ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Track order status and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and dispatch documentation.
• Maintain procurement records, comparative statements, and vendor evaluation reports.
• Monitor and report procurement progress against project timelines; proactively highlight delays or risks.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Finance & Banking teams for smooth execution and payment processing.
