About the role
We’re hiring a creative, detail-obsessed designer to turn raw product data and images into high-quality, on-brand visuals. Your work will shape how architects, interior designers, and customers experience our materials across the website, digital catalogues, and social channels.
Stipend - 20-25k (Depending on the interview)
Internship duration - 3 months
Responsibilities
Product visualization & editing
Edit, retouch, and enhance product images in Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / Lightroom.
Recreate realistic textures, surface finishes, reflections, and accurate colour tones.
Build seamless textures / tiles and perspective-correct mockups.
Consistency & branding
Maintain a consistent visual identity across categories and campaigns.
Follow Material Depot’s brand guidelines; create lightweight style guides where needed.
Creative enhancements
Clean / replace backgrounds, apply shadows, colour-correct, and highlight material details.
Create lifestyle renders, application mockups, and design variations for storytelling.
Digital asset preparation
Resize, compress, and export for Web (WebP / JPEG / PNG), marketplaces, and social.
Use clear naming conventions, version control, and structured folders / DAM hygiene.
Collaboration & workflow
Partner with content, catalog, marketing, and engineering to deliver on time.
Share creative inputs that improve click-through, time-on-page, and conversions.
Quality control
Calibrate colours vs samples; check edges, tiling, and proportion.
Run pre-publish checks for file size, resolution, artefacts, and alignment.
Must-have qualifications
0–2 years of professional experience (strong internships / portfolio welcome).
Solid command of Adobe Photoshop ; working knowledge of Illustrator / Lightroom.
Strong eye for materials (gloss / matte, grain, veining, grout lines, bevels, edges).
Understanding of web-ready asset prep (DPI vs PX, compression, aspect ratios).
Organised, fast with iterations, and comfortable handling large batches.
What success looks like (first 90 days)
On-brand image packs delivered on time with Consistent colour accuracy vs samples / brand palette.
Throughput targets met (e.g., daily batch SLAs) without quality drop.
Reusable mockup frameworks / templates created for at least 2 categories.
