Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head Chef at Idli Curry Co, located in Vikhroli, Mumbai .
The Head Chef will lead daily kitchen operations, ensure taste consistency, and uphold high-quality standards for South Indian dishes both veg and non veg.
Responsibilities include :
- Leading and supervising the kitchen team
- Managing production schedules and daily operations
- Ensuring all SOPs, hygiene , and food safety standards are followed
- Overseeing inventory, costing, and vendor coordination
- Innovating and refining menu items to improve efficiency and flavour
- Maintaining kitchen discipline, cleanliness, and equipment health
- Working closely with management to streamline operations and scale production
Qualification
Strong experience in South Indian cuisine (mandatory)Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership roleExpertise in menu planning , recipe standardization, and food presentationExcellent leadership and team management skillsStrong understanding of kitchen operations , workflow, and staff trainingGood organizational skills : inventory control, cost management, and maintaining hygiene standardsCreativity and innovation in improving recipes and processesStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesCulinary certifications are preferredMinimum 3–5 years of relevant kitchen experience
