Job Title : Senior PHP Developer

Experience : 5+ Years

Work Mode : Hybrid

Work Location : Chennai

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 Days

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Senior PHP Developer who is highly self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about clean, scalable code. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, especially with PHP (preferably Laravel or similar frameworks), and be confident in mentoring junior developers. A deep understanding of database architecture and optimization is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable PHP applications.
  • Lead and guide junior developers through code reviews, best practices, and mentorship.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot database queries (MySQL / PostgreSQL), structures, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend systems.
  • Write clean, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in system architecture planning and decision-making.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to deployment.

Requirements :

  • 5+ years of professional PHP development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.).
  • Proven experience in database optimization, query tuning, and schema design.
  • Strong understanding of MVC architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior developers.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI / CD workflows, and agile development.
  • Self-driven with excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills – able to explain technical issues clearly.

    • Nice to Have :

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • Exposure to Docker and containerized environments.
  • Frontend experience (Vue.js, React) is a plus.
