Job description

Description : The Zonal Fulfilment Manager for the West Zone is responsible for ensuring effective fulfilment of forecasted and safety stock at the depot-SKU level. This role ensures smooth coordination between supply chain, sales, and distribution teams to optimize stock availability, prevent bottlenecks, and maintain high service levels across the zone. The manager acts as the single point of contact for fulfilment operations, depot planning, and critical SKU management, ensuring the zone meets its operational and service objectives.

Key & Inventory Management :

Ensure fulfilment of forecast and safety stock at the depot-SKU level.
Coordinate with supply chain teams to fulfil customer orders efficiently.
Monitor critical SKUs and address potential issues in collaboration with sales teams.
Troubleshoot operational challenges, including depot space constraints, slow-moving stock, partial truckloads, and placement issues.
Perform regular assessments on stock maldistribution, underselling / overselling, and forecast changes.

Planning & Execution :

Own and track the Order Fulfilment Rate (OFR) for the zone on a daily basis.

Plan and execute seasonal stock planning and depot space allocation across the zone.

Collaborate with dispatch planners to resolve bottlenecks and optimize zone-level Collaboration :

Build strong relationships across supply chain, sales, and distribution teams to support organizational objectives.

Serve as a single point of contact for depot operations and critical fulfilment issues.

Conduct market visits to gather insights and proactively resolve fulfilment challenges.

Key Result Areas (KRAs) & Supporting Actions :

Key Result Area Supporting Collaboration & Capability Building : - Develop strong cross-functional relationships to achieve organizational goals.

Train and mentor Zonal Fulfilment Executives (ZFEs) to independently manage West Zone operations.

Inventory Visibility & Sales Support : - Ensure timely and accurate visibility of SOH (Stock on Hand), SIT (Stock in Transit), and STO (Stock Transfer Orders) for sales teams.

Conduct regular calls with regional and area sales managers to support critical items and depot space planning.

Undertake market visits to gather insights and resolve fulfilment issues.

Service Level & Order Fulfillment : - Monitor timely order fulfillment rates and proactively resolve bottlenecks.

Enable regional hub redistribution to achieve zone-level service targets.

Continuously improve service levels through process enhancements and stakeholder engagement.

Planning & Execution : - Plan and execute seasonal stock requirements and depot space allocation.

Track and maintain OFR for the zone, addressing gaps promptly.

Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth fulfilment operations.

Skills & Competencies :

Strong knowledge of distribution, logistics, and supply chain management.

Analytical skills for inventory planning, performance monitoring, and problem-solving.

Leadership and team management skills to mentor Zonal Fulfilment Executives.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and optimize depot-level operations.
