This is a remote position.

The Art X Company is looking for a Research Manager to lead on-ground and remote research activities for the festival’s impact assessment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in cultural research, field management, M&E, or festival studies. The candidate will work closely with the Project Lead to plan, coordinate, and execute data collection using surveys, RFID-based tools, interviews, observations, and community engagement. The role requires strong organisational skills, people management, and comfort working in a fast-paced festival environment.

This is a full-time, 2-3-months contractual role. The selected candidate must be available on-ground in New Delhi during the first 2 weeks of December 2025 (dates TBD), with remote work permitted during the planning and reporting phases.

Please note :

  • The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.
  • Salary band for this role is available upon request.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social sciences, market research, cultural studies, development, or related fields.

Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Ability to manage field teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Comfortable using digital data collection tools and tech-enabled research setups (RFID is a plus).

Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, especially in fast-paced environments.

Essential Expereince :

3–6 years of experience in research, M&E, social sciences, cultural studies, or related fields

Experience managing field teams and conducting on-ground research

Familiarity with digital data collection tools; comfort with tech-enabled M&E

Strong communication and coordination skills

Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments

Interest in culture, festivals, or Himalayan regions is an advantage.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications : A Master’s Degree with a research dissertation, ideally in a creative, social science or humanities field Minimum undergraduate level statistics study. Proficiency in English language and academic writing. IT system proficiency, especially Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, Slack, and Zoom. Analytical skills for examining and drawing insights. Ability to visualise data and communicate complex information. Required Experience : At least 1-2 years of experience with research of any kind – independent or guided Previous experience in market or academic research. Experience in fieldwork and report writing. Experience in conducting primary research through interviews and focus groups. Experience with survey tools and data analysis tools such as SurveyMonkey, NVivo, SPSS Key Personal Attributes & Skills : Creative individual with drive, good analytical skills and the ability to take initiative Should be comfortable with interviewing people from diverse backgrounds An effective team worker who shows initiative and takes ownership of the role Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Strong attention to detail and good observation skills Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
