Role Summary : -
The Vice President – Engineering will lead Advantmed India’s technology organization encompassing Software Development, Quality Assurance, and DevOps. This leader will be responsible for defining and executing the engineering vision and strategy, building scalable and secure healthcare technology platforms, and ensuring high-quality product delivery aligned with US healthcare standards ( HIPAA , HITECH , CMS , etc.).
Qualifications & Experience : -
- Education : B.Tech / M.Tech / M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience : 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large, distributed teams
- Proven experience in managing a headcount of 200+ employees
- Proven experience leading software development and QA functions within healthcare, health tech, or data-driven enterprise products.
- Strong understanding of US healthcare data standards and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
- Expertise in cloud-native development (AWS / Azure / GCP), microservices, API platforms, and data analytics.
- Demonstrated success implementing Agile, DevOps, and automation at scale.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities : -
1. Strategic Leadership :
Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with Advantmed’s product and business strategy.Lead multiple engineering functions – software development, quality assurance, DevOps, and support – ensuring alignment with corporate goals.Drive innovation through adoption of modern technologies (AI / ML, cloud-native architectures, data engineering).Collaborate with product management, data science, and operations to deliver technology solutions that support Advantmed’ s U.S. healthcare products and services.2. Engineering Management :
Oversee & improve the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) – architecture, development, testing, release management, and maintenance.Establish best practices for Agile development, CI / CD pipelines, automation, and code quality.Manage distributed engineering teams in India and collaborate closely with U.S.-based stakeholders.Implement robust metrics for performance, scalability, and reliability of systems.3. Quality Assurance & Compliance :
Build a world-class QA organization focused on test automation and blend of manual testing, performance testing, and compliance validation.Ensure all solutions meet U.S. healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across engineering and QA teams4. People Leadership :
Attract, mentor, and retain top engineering and QA talent.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.Build succession plans and leadership depth within the technology organization5. Operational Excellence :
Manage technology budgets, vendor relationships, and resource planning.Oversee technology infrastructure, cloud operations, and data security in partnership with the InfoSec team.Ensure delivery commitments are met with predictable, high-quality outcomes.Key Competencies : -
