About the role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead administration, training coordination, and operational management of a large-scale public health project in Goa. This role is both strategic and operational — requiring someone who can independently manage day-to-day tasks while also providing oversight, anticipating risks, and supporting delivery on commitments.
The Project Manager will act as a key link between the Goa team, project partners, and the Mumbai head office, with responsibilities spanning project management, administrative function, liaison with stakeholders and vendors for operational issues, manage logistics and organization of training programs, assist in developing budgets, manage petty cash, track budget, HR issues and help in drafting of minutes, and provide any other support required.
What will you do in this role (Roles and Responsibilities)
Strategic & Operational Management
Develop and monitor project workplans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Anticipate operational challenges and design proactive solutions to minimize risks.
Financial & Resource Oversight
Manage procurement processes, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
Monitor budget utilization, forecast requirements, and ensure compliance with donor / organizational financial standards.
Review and verify financial documents, reimbursements, and audit-ready records.
Training & Event Coordination
Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of training sessions, workshops, and events.
Oversee scheduling, logistics, participant engagement, and documentation of outcomes.
Ensure high-quality training delivery and efficient resource use.
Reporting
Document lessons learned, success stories, and best practices for internal and external sharing.
Communication & Knowledge Management
Ensure systematic documentation of processes and knowledge-sharing within the project team.
Other Responsibilities
Support preparation of minutes, operational updates, and compliance documentation.
Coordinate travel, logistics, and day-to-day administrative requirements of the project team.
Undertake any additional tasks assigned by Organisation.
We are looking for someone who has :
Master’s degree in management or related field.
Minimum 5–6 years of progressively responsible experience in project administration and management, preferably in health or development sectors.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proven track record of proactive problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and donor-facing communication.
Prior experience in drafting donor reports, presentations, or policy briefs desirable.
Skills and Competencies :
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage competing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High degree of initiative and accountability.
