This is a remote Contract / Consultant position.
Working hours will be 9 : 00am-6 : 00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Corporate Legal Compliance Team Lead to oversee regulatory compliance related to corporate operations, contract governance, and licensing requirements across U.S. federal and state frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience ensuring adherence to laws impacting corporate transactions, lending activities, and regulatory reporting obligations
Assist in the execution of the compliance program, including monitoring the effectiveness of controls, managing regulatory reporting obligations, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures.Assist in ensuring compliance with U.S. federal and state regulatory requirements related to contract law, licensing, consumer protection, and business operations, including residential and commercial lending.Support cross-functional teams in interpreting and implementing new regulatory obligations impacting lending, contract governance, and corporate compliance frameworks.Monitor regulatory environments to identify emerging compliance risks and requirements; develop strategic responses and guide cross-functional teams in implementing risk-based solutions aligned with business objectives.Support the Compliance Officer during regulatory examinations and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to regulatory inquiries.Foster a culture of compliance by collaborating with business teams and supporting the delivery of training programs.Oversee the development of reports and analytics for senior management, and assess the need for new licenses.Contribute to the design and development of controls by translating AML / CTF regulatory requirements and other applicable U.S. regulatory obligations into actionable measures.Supervise the ongoing development of compliance testing programs.Serve as a key advisor and deputy to the Compliance Officer, supporting strategic initiatives, special projects, and critical compliance matters.Travel to the U.S. as needed for on-site requirements.REQUIREMENTS
Law degree from a nationally accredited U.S. law school.6–10 years of experience practicing law within a law firm; in-house experience is a plus.5–10 years of regulatory and compliance experience within the residential mortgage banking industry across the United States.Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to residential and commercial mortgage lending as well as corporate governance.Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, supported by advanced legal research and writing skills.Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, demonstrating sound business judgment and effective problem-solving skills.Exceptional command of English, both written and verbal.Excellent organizational and communication skills, with keen attention to detail and strong follow-through.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.Highly proactive and resourceful, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and departments.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.Valid U.S. visa required.Benefits
