With a network of offices in Europe, Asia and the US and a multi-disciplined team of over 3,700 people, we deliver complex, capital projects in the life sciences, food and beverages, mission critical / ICT, advanced manufacturing, energy and environmental sectors.

Due to our on-going success securing large-scale projects for 2025, we have a requirement for Senior BMS Engineer join our Building Services Department at Bangalore.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Project Management, Stakeholders, Clients and managing, coordinating and producing BMS designs.
Reporting directly to the Department Line Manager on progress on all projects and status
Client interface management, to understand project requirements and presentation of design at design stage gates (BOD, IFT, IFC)
Design of control systems across various BMS platforms to develop the required project documentation; BMS I / O lists, HVAC and Utility Sequence of Operations documents, Scope of Works, Functional Specifications, Hardware Specifications.
Design BMS System Architecture & Topography
Instrumentation design, selection and approval
Analysing complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions
Coordinate and collaborate across project disciplines both within the office and outside
BOD BMS Cost Estimates
BMS Contractor management. Review & comment on contractor site queries, technical submittals and panel shop drawings / wiring diagrams for compliance against the design intent
Review and approval of panel FAT documents and SAT documents
Witness testing of panel FATs and site SATs when applicable
Attend project, staff, company, design review, ISO, and group meetings and actively participate in discussions
Able to effectively deal with issues arising throughout the daily cycle and develop solutions to ensure successful resolution
Mentoring and development of Junior BMS Engineers on the team
Ability to multitask on various projects and manage your own projects and deliverables.
Adherence to quality standards and attention to detail and accuracy
Innovative view on current engineering practice with the view to improve internal processes
Have professional approach and demeanour. A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection and business

Qualifications

Engineering degree (i.e. Mechanical, Building Services, Automation Engineering

Minimum 10 years relevant experience is preferred; or with 8 or more years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and strong background in BMS and QBMS System

Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, data centre, or health-related facility

Experience in a GMP manufacturing facility and Data Centre’s.

Experience in a BMS redundancy design.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good understanding of current good manufacturing practices, 21 CFR Part 11, 210 and 211, and Annex 11

General knowledge of network configuration, computer hardware and software, including automation applications

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Vision, PowerPoint, etc.)

Working knowledge of Bluebeam / CAD / BIM / REVIT systems

Ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organization

Ability to prioritise own workload

Ability to work to deadlines

Commercially aware
