Job description

Oracle DBA with 10+ years of exp.

  • Around 8 to 10 years of experience administering Oracle Databases with Unix skills.
  • Knowledge of administering MS SQL databases is a plus.
  • Administering the application servers like tomcat, Apache / ORDS with good understanding on network and troubleshooting skills
  • Working experience on PeopleSoft databases / application servers.
  • Good understanding on SAN multipath storage.
  • Willing to support US hrs. and provide rotational on-call, and 24 / 7 support for production environments.

Skills

  • Administer Oracle RAC production databases running Oracle 19c or higher on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) including the design, provisioning, and maintenance of the databases.
  • Designs, creates, and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production environments.
  • Provide installation, monitoring, patching, and database administration operations and maintenance services for Oracle Database, Oracle Advanced Security, Oracle RMAN
  • Establishes database security to ensure data integrity, including access control.
  • Efficiently manage database storage, backups, and recovery processes.
  • Work closely with other DBAs, application administrators, developers, and testers to improve system performance, data quality, define requirements and develop solutions to complex

    • problems.

  • Expertise in SQL and Oracle Database Administration tools (i.e. Oracle Database, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Oracle Enterprise

    • Manager)

  • Expertise in working with System Admins / Storage / Network teams to address any external issues effecting the environments.
  • Experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as Microsoft (MS) SQL Server
  • Strong practical knowledge in writing shell scripts / SQL / PLSQL for Database administration purpose.
  • Installation of WebLogic service like tomcat / ORDS.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining Golden Gate replication and administer multi-site Oracle RAC database implementations using Oracle Data Guard and connection manager.
  • Modify queries, hints, indexes, de-normalizing data, and / or other techniques to improve performance of data reads and writes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues related to connectivity, performance, and data integrity, leveraging SQL scripts, and other tools like Azure SQL DB Query Store insights.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c and other tools
  • Prior experience writing PL / SQL packages, functions, triggers and / or procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL / PLSQL
  • Working knowledge of LINUX and shell scripting.
  • Experience configuring database / network connectivity.
  • Experience with high volume websites that use multi-tier architectures a significant plus.
  • Understanding or experience using Oracle Real Application Cluster's and implementation best-practices.
  • Ability to analyze existing systems and make recommendations on which technology best suits the business requirement for high availability, Disaster Recovery, or high performance.
  • Experience in building environments in Azure / AWS is a plus.
