Minimum Requirements
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, financial business-related field or equivalent; and
- Two years of work experience in finance, accounting, financial services, financial institution, or business office; or
- High school diploma and four years of work experience in finance, accounting, financial services, financial institution, business office.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent; andOne year of work experience in finance, accounting, financial services, financial institution, or business office.Position Summary
The Finance and Operations Support Specialist provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Vice President of Finance and Operations (VPFO), the Student Billing function and the Directors of the Business Office, Human Resources, and Information Technology. This role plays a key part in supporting the financial and administrative functions of Northern Pennsylvania Regional College by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Essential Functions
Demonstrate commitment to the College's mission, values, and guiding philosophy in all aspects of work and professional conductEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the division to support collaboration, communication, and shared goals.Deliver administrative and operational support to the Directors of the Business Office, Human Resources, and Information Technology, as assigned by the Vice President of Finance and OperationsOffer administrative and operational assistance to the Student Billing function, as directed by the Vice President of Finance and Operations, to ensure accurate and efficient billing processesExhibit excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environmentDemonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clarity and professionalism in all interactions and documentationMaintain a high level of accuracy, diligence, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and supporting core financial and administrative functionsProficiency with Microsoft Office and OutlookSupport the preparation and development of budget reports by gathering data, organizing financial information, and ensuring accuracy in documentation and presentationSupport the preparation of documentation required for the annual audit, ensuring timely, accurate, and organized submission of financial records and supporting materialsSupport student account management and communicationsIdentify opportunities to improve and streamline operational efficienciesOrganize and maintain files for business office record keeping; ensure compliance with records retention policyCoordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel for VPFOPrepare agendas and provide recordkeeping for meetingsCollaborate with other administrative assistants to carry out a variety of tasks essential to the effective operation of the College, fostering teamwork and cross-functional supportAdditional Eligibility Requirements

Office Location : 300 Second Avenue, Suite 500, Warren, Pennsylvania 16365Work hours : 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm, Monday through Thursday and 8 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm Friday. Occasionally work hours are adjusted to accommodate departmental needsFull-time employees are expected to work 37.5 hours weeklyTravel Requirements
