Position : Middle Years English Teacher

Role Overview :

The experienced and passionate English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the subject. We are looking for an IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)teacher. The teacher should inspire students through a stimulating learning environment that promotes inquiry, reflection, and conceptual understanding in English language and literature.

Key Responsibilities :

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based English lessons.
• Foster strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills in students.
• Integrate interdisciplinary links and global contexts into English teaching.
• Use a variety of assessment strategies to inform learning and differentiate instruction.
• Design formative and summative assessments for English language and literature.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents as required.
• Participate in student-led conferences and parent-teacher meetings.
• Collaborate with colleagues for transdisciplinary units and grade-level planning.
• Participate in training workshops and internal staff development sessions.
• Contribute to curriculum review and school improvement initiatives.
• Support student well-being and personal development through advisory or homeroom responsibilities.
• Provide individualised support where necessary and ensure inclusion.
• Maintain required documentation, including unit plans, assessment tasks, and feedback.
• Follow school policies related to academic integrity, safety, and code of conduct.
