Job Purpose :

Lead gasification pilot plant design and operational efforts, with a strong focus on gasification and syngas-to-chemicals processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the process design of the pilot plant and scale-up activities for gasification and downstream chemical processes.

Develop and review process design documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, process data sheets, and process control philosophy for gasification and syngas-to-chemicals plants.

Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, and safety audits.

Participate in pilot plant commissioning, operations, and analysis of pilot data.

Interpret pilot data and integrate it into process models to improve model accuracy.

Optimize process parameters and support design and operational decision-making.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications & Skills :

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.

8–12 years of relevant experience in pilot plant operations, R&D, or process development in the area of gasification and other chemical processes.

Experience with gasification, hydrogen / SNG production, CO₂ capture and storage, or related technologies is an added advantage.

Knowledge of process simulation software such as Aspen Plus will be an added advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a cross-functional and field-integrated environment
