Job Title : Business Development Executive / Manager – Bakery unit, Varthur

Location : Varthur, Bangalore

Reports to : Bakery Operations Manager / Business Head

Employment Type : Full-time

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development professional to lead and grow sales for Bengaluru Local Bakery. The role involves driving business across retail outlets, food trucks, corporates, institutional clients, and strategic partnerships in the Varthur / Whitefield / Sarjapur belt and more.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Market Expansion

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in retail, corporate, and institutional segments.
  • Scout and evaluate potential locations for new retail outlets and kiosks.
  • Build and maintain a strong client base, ensuring repeat and referral business.
  • Develop and pitch seasonal and festive product offerings, including corporate gifting.
  • Initiate and manage conversations with residential complexes, tech parks, corporates, and event organizers.
  • Maintain strong post-sale relationships for upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

3. Marketing & Brand Activation

  • Plan and execute local marketing initiatives, including sampling, events, and community outreach.
  • Work with the marketing team to implement campaigns that enhance visibility and customer engagement.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adapt strategies.
  • 4. Operational Coordination

  • Liaise with the production and logistics teams for smooth order fulfilment.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met within agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Provide regular market feedback to product and operations teams.
  • Requirements

  • Experience :
  • Executive : 1–3 years in sales, business development, or client acquisition (preferably in F&B, FMCG, or hospitality).

    Manager : 4–7 years with a proven track record in leading business development and sales teams.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong networking abilities with local market knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools.
  • Two-wheeler license preferred.
