Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Planning professional to join our Commercial Solutions Strategic Operations team. The role involves supporting strategic / operational plans and initiatives for various business areas in Commercial Solutions Global Business Unit and creating strategic materials for executive meetings. Candidate will work closely with the extended Strategic Operations team, BU Leads, and other key internal stakeholders in the broader IQVIA organization.
Essential Functions
- Support driving and steering the annual planning cycle and multi-year strategic planning in alignment with organizational goals and objectives
- Continuously monitor industry trends, analyse global and local industry reports, and adopt best practices to inform strategic planning efforts
- Provide industry specific market insights, market landscape, competitors / customer analysis based on the project requirement through desk / secondary research
- Provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership based on analysis, and use data and domain knowledge to identify strategic opportunities
- Actively drive / support preparation for executive meetings (e.g., monthly business reviews, operating reviews, and other regular or ad-hoc executive meetings)
- Prepare and present business cases, financial projections, and feasibility assessments for new initiatives
- Engage in business development and M&A projects by identifying potential targets and / or supporting due diligence processes
- Establish collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to support and proactively address business
- Formulate detailed project plans, facilitate team meetings, foster collaboration, and ensure adherence to workflow processes
- Monitor progress of projects, including achievements, action items, risks / concerns and resolution of issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical and / or Medical Devices) or a related fieldA master’s / MBA degree is preferred3-7years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, M&A advisory or related fieldExceptional project management skills with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives concurrentlyProven communication and presentation skills with a focus on translating insights and data into actionable recommendations for leadersDemonstrated problem solving and analysis skills, with experience in addressing complex and diverse business problems (strategic, commercial, operational, organizational)Advanced data analysis and visualization skillsA passion for continuous learningProficiency in Microsoft Office programs mainly PowerPoint and Excel AnalysisFlex across multiple topics and management of changing priorities, demanding timelinesAbility to be self-directed, prioritize opportunities and perform multiple tasksGood to have experience in Business Intelligence tools (PowerBI, Spotfire, Excel automation)
