ABOUT SCHOOLSEEKER

SchoolSeeker is revolutionizing school admissions in India with an AI-powered platform that transforms the chaotic admission process into a seamless digital experience. We're addressing a massive pain point affecting millions of parents and thousands of schools every year.

We're at an inflection point - our platform is nearly ready to launch, and we need a stellar developer to help us scale rapidly through the upcoming admission season.

THE ROLE

We're seeking a passionate and highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join us on a fixed-term contractual basis (3-6 months with possibility of extension / conversion).

This isn't just another development job. You'll be working on technology that directly impacts children's educational futures and helps schools operate more efficiently. You'll see your code being used by real schools and parents within weeks, not months.

Contract Duration : 6-12 months (with strong potential for extension or full-time conversion)

Location : Hybrid (Jaipur-based) / Remote (for exceptional candidates)

Compensation : Competitive market rates based on experience

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

AI-Powered Admission Platform : Core application processing and management system

Video Interview Module : Asynchronous video interview system with AI analysis

School Dashboard : Comprehensive analytics and candidate evaluation tools

Parent Application Portal : Intuitive multi-school application interface

Integration Systems : Connect with school ERPs and payment gateways

Real-time Features : Application tracking, notifications, and communication systems

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

Essential :

  • Very strong frontend and backend development
  • Node.js - 2+ years of production experience building scalable backend systems
  • React.js - Expert-level proficiency with hooks, context, and modern patterns
  • Next.js - Strong experience with SSR, API routes, and optimization
  • AWS - Hands-on experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFront
  • Database Design - PostgreSQL schema design and optimization
  • RESTful APIs - Design and implementation of robust API architectures

  • Payment Gateway Integration - Razorpay
  • Docker and container orchestration
  • CI / CD pipeline setup and management

  • Build and optimize core platform features

  • Create robust APIs for mobile and web applications
  • Ensure platform scalability and performance

  • Work directly with founders on product strategy
  • Participate in technical architecture decisions
  • Code reviews and technical documentation

  • Take end-to-end ownership of features
  • Proactively identify and solve technical challenges
  • Contribute to product roadmap and technical strategy
