About The Role

The Cybersecurity Penetration Tester role at SG Global Solution Centre is a vital position responsible for identifying vulnerabilities within client infrastructure, applications, and networks. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in penetration testing, threat modeling, and secure application assessments. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with the ability to simulate cyber-attacks, analyze security postures, and recommend effective mitigation strategies. As a key member of the security team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance security protocols, ensure compliance with industry standards, and contribute to the overall cybersecurity maturity of our clients. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize advanced tools and methodologies, and develop innovative security solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical expertise, relevant certifications, and professional experience, including :

• 5 to 8 years of strong work experience in penetration testing, threat modeling, and secure application testing
• Expertise in conducting penetration testing on various infrastructure and network components including Cloud, Wireless LAN, Active Directory, etc.
• Thorough understanding of application architectures, security standards, frameworks, and methodologies
• Deep knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, TCP / IP, SSH, RDP, SNMP, and expertise in exploiting vulnerabilities in these services
• Strong knowledge of web application attacks and defense strategies, including OWASP Top 10, Mobile Top 10, and SANS Top 25
• Proficiency with testing tools such as Burp Suite, NMAP, Kali Linux, Nessus, Metasploit, etc.
• Experience with various operating systems, network security technologies, and web development frameworks like .Net, Java, PHP, AngularJS, NodeJS
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, C / C++, Java / JavaScript
• Experience with configuration and deployment management testing, identity management, session management, authentication and authorization testing, input validation, privilege escalation, and enumeration testing
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP (preferred), CEH, SANS, GIAC, or CRTP are highly desirable
