About the Role
The General Manager – Human Resources will lead end-to-end HR operations across large, multi-unit textile manufacturing facilities, driving workforce planning, bulk hiring, and leadership recruitment aligned with production needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end HR operations across large, multi-unit textile manufacturing facilities
- Drive workforce planning, bulk hiring, and leadership recruitment aligned with production needs
- Manage industrial relations, labor law compliance, and dispute resolution
- Oversee payroll management, statutory compliances, wage administration, and contractor management
- Design and implement training, skill development, and leadership development programs
- Strengthen HR policies, performance management systems, and employee engagement initiatives
- Partner with plant leadership to improve productivity, retention, and shop-floor discipline
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of HR experience, preferably with 10+ years in large textile or manufacturing organizations
- Strong hands-on exposure to industrial relations, payroll, and compliance
- Master’s in Social Sciences or MBA (HR)
Required Skills
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in labor-intensive textile manufacturing
- Strong understanding of compliance, ethical labor practices, and workforce sustainability
- Ability to scale HR systems while maintaining employee trust and operational discipline
