We at 99Games are a super-indie studio passionate about developing and publishing engaging free-to-play games enjoyed by players around the world. Our singular goal is to build mobile games that people love to play. Based in India, we take pride in creating some of the nation’s most popular and globally loved games, including the hit culinary franchises Star Chef and Star Chef 2, along with fan favourites like Dhoom : 3 The Game and Sultan : The Game.
In this key role you will work with Product, Design, and Data teams to turn insights into better player experiences.
What you’ll be doing :
– Analyze and optimize game metrics to improve engagement, retention and monetization
– Develop and execute all in-game promotions, offerings, and events. Analyze the KPIs of in-game
campaigns and optimize towards targets (Campaign Management)
– Develop player segments, understand their usage patterns, pain points, and enjoyments – and predict their behavior resulting in recommendations to enhance our game based on data analysis. Stay ahead of the game with a pulse on industry trends.
– Collaborate with our Design and Product teams to determine the data to be collected from games for analysis.
– Help create economy models and assist the product team in making decisions based on quantitative data.
– Deconstruct successful games to understand Economic, monetization, and player delight strategies.
What’s good to have :
– 2+ years in game analytics or product analysis.
– MBA in Stats / Finance or M.Stat / M.Sc in a quantitative field; having done Applied / Consumer Psychology will give you an edge.
– A natural talent to turn data into actionable insights on user / product behaviour.
– Proficient in Excel and good hold on SQL and / or Python
– Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau / PowerBI is a strong plus!
– Prior experience evaluating the performance of teams, tournaments, or competitive events is an added advantage.
– Ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mobile games
