Group Lead, Clinical Systems - Chennai, Office based

We are currently seeking a Manager, Clinical Systems for Validation team to join our diverse and dynamic team . As a Manager, Clinical Systems at ICON, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the validation activities of both EDC and non-EDC components, that support efficient trial management and ensure data accuracy. Your responsibilities will include managing system validation plans, coordinating validation testing and documentation, leading risk assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance and data integrity throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.

What You Will Be Doing :

  • Provide line management oversight and leadership to the validation team
  • Ensures team deliverables to expected quality and timelines, provides technical oversight as needed.
  • Leading the development, implementation, and optimization of clinical systems to enhance data collection and reporting processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and ensure alignment with clinical trial objectives.
  • Monitoring system performance and conducting regular assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Providing training and support to team members on clinical systems, fostering a culture of proficiency and accountability.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and technology partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration on system initiatives.

Your Profile :

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field such as life sciences, information technology, or clinical research.
  • Extensive experience in managing clinical systems or related technology, with a solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Typical minimum years of experience 10+, including at least 5 years of core experience in validation of the edit checks and backend listings
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in clinical data management tools and systems, with a focus on optimizing user experience and data integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive successful outcomes.
