Job Description

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance data engineering solutions using Python and Redis DB .

Build and optimize event-driven and streaming architectures for large-scale distributed systems.

Perform JVM tuning and other performance optimization activities across services.

Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes .

Work with caching frameworks; hands-on experience with Apache Ignite is a strong advantage.

Configure and manage Linux OS , including creating and maintaining shell scripts.

Apply software design patterns to create scalable, maintainable systems.

Work with CI / CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.) to implement automated builds, tests, and deployments.

Integrate and work with SQL and NoSQL databases in distributed environments.

Ensure resiliency, monitoring, and observability of distributed systems in production.

Design and implement security controls , identify vulnerabilities, and recommend remediation strategies.

Work with data-transfer mechanisms such as CRON jobs, ETLs, JDBC / ODBC scripts while ensuring secure data movement.

Understand networking essentials (DNS, Proxy, ACL, Policy, troubleshooting).

Ensure compliance with data protection standards (encryption, anonymization, secure logging practices).

Develop wrappers for components lacking required security controls to ensure compliance with bank standards.

Work in an Agile environment and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience in Python with Redis
• Strong understanding of event-driven and streaming architectures
• Experience with JVM performance tuning
• Good knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes
• Strong experience with Linux OS + Shell scripting
• Knowledge of design patterns and scalable architecture
• Hands-on experience with CI / CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of distributed systems : resiliency, monitoring, security
• Experience implementing security controls and identifying vulnerabilities
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, Proxy, ACL, Policies)
• Understanding of data compliance standards and secure data handling practices
• Experience working in Agile teams
