GitHub Administrator
Role Summary :
We are seeking a skilled GitHub Administrator with hands-on experience in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Self-Hosted Runners, GitHub Cloud Runners, and Azure DevOps SaaS. The ideal candidate will have strong automation, scripting, and Docker administration skills, coupled with experience in application release automation, security-focused API integration, and multi-platform administration.
Mandatory Skills :
- GitHub Administration (Enterprise-level)
- GitHub Self-Hosted & Cloud Runners
- Azure DevOps SaaS administration
- Automation & CI / CD pipeline implementation
- Docker administration including runner management
- API integration with strong focus on security
- ITSM process knowledge using ticketing tools (Remedy, ServiceNow)
- Scripting : Shell, Python, PowerShell
Required Experience :
Minimum 1 year in application release automation or code migrations using tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, CA Release Automation (Nolio), Nexus Repository, or similar automation toolsExperience installing and administering applications in Unix, Linux, and Windows environmentsDebugging and command-line expertise across multiple operating systemsNice-to-Have Skills :
Automation tools such as AnsibleAdvanced scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell)Familiarity with web services : REST, SOAP, AJAXWindows & Linux server administrationNetworking and internet communication protocolsRemote desktop administrationStrong knowledge of Java JRE / JDKUnderstanding of CI / CD pipelines and observability practicesKey Responsibilities :
Administer GitHub Enterprise & Azure DevOps SaaS including permissions, API integrations, pipeline scripting, security, and limitations managementManage Docker administration and GitHub runners (both self-hosted & cloud-based)Integrate APIs securely for DevOps workflowsImplement and maintain CI / CD pipelines to ensure scalability, monitoring, and high availabilityCollaborate with application and infrastructure teams to identify and implement automation solutionsTroubleshoot and debug issues across Unix, Linux, and Windows platformsFollow ITSM processes and manage requests / incidents via Remedy or ServiceNowEducational Qualification :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
