Assistant Manager - Finance

Role Summary

The Assistant Manager will support the Finance Manager in running the accounting and treasury operations for our healthcare organisation. Focus will be on ensuring efficient AP / GL processes, vendor management and assisting in cash / treasury operations in a healthcare context.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and supervise AP / GL team to ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, reconciliations and month end closes.
• Work with the Treasury / Vendor Coordinator to monitor cash movements, vendor payment schedules, bank balances, fund transfers and working capital optimisation.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports, variance analysis, expense trending and commentaries relevant to healthcare operations (cost per service line, resource utilisation, etc).
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, clinical and other departments for cost allocation, fixed asset tracking (medical equipment), depreciation and cost management.
• Assist in vendor performance tracking : SLA adherence, payment terms, vendor reconciliations, vendor onboarding in coordination with Vendor Coordinator.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to AP / GL staff; help in process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Ensure accurate general ledger entries, reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts and maintain audit ready documentation.
