Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide round-the-clock clinical care to critically ill patients admitted to the ICU, under the supervision of senior consultants.
- Monitor and manage patients on ventilators, inotropes, and other life support systems.
- Perform emergency procedures including intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, and bedside ultrasound as needed.
- Assist in the stabilization and management of medical emergencies such as sepsis, shock, acute respiratory failure, and cardiac arrest.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ICU rounds, case discussions, and planning of patient care protocols.
- Ensure timely documentation of patient progress notes, investigation reports, and discharge summaries.
- Provide clinical inputs during family counseling and help in communication regarding prognosis and treatment plans.
- Adhere strictly to hospital infection control protocols, patient safety measures, and clinical quality standards.
- Support academic activities, clinical audits, and continuous medical education (CME) programs within the department.
Preferred Candidate Profile
MBBS with MD / DNB in Anaesthesia, Pulmonary Medicine, or Internal Medicine.IDCCM, IFCCM, or Fellowship in Critical Care (preferred but not mandatory).1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in ICU / critical care settings.Proficient in emergency and bedside procedures.Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills.Willingness to work in rotational shifts and high-pressure environments.Skills Required
