Job Description : Technical Architect (Data Engineering)

Location : Bangalore : 812 : Leading the Role :

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Architect Data Engineering who will be responsible for designing and scaling modern data platforms, providing technical leadership, and mentoring teams. The role requires strong expertise in cloud-native technologies, data engineering frameworks, and modern DevOps practices to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :

  • Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms and pipelines.
  • Define best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines for data engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Lead evaluations and adoption of emerging data engineering tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
  • Drive optimization of ETL / ELT processes to improve performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with DevOps and cloud teams to enable continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring of data solutions.

Skillsets & Requirements :

  • 812 years of experience in data platform development and architecture.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Proven expertise with Apache Airflow, Spark, Hive and distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data warehouses.
  • Solid grasp of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design solutions for complex, large-scale systems.
