SAP MDG

Job Title : SAP MDG Consultant / SAP MDG Technical / SAP MDG Functional

Experience : 4–20+ Years

Location : Pan India

Mode : Contract

Job Summary

The SAP MDG Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Master Data Governance solutions. The role ensures data consistency, quality, governance, and smooth integration of master data across SAP and non-SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement SAP MDG solutions for master data domains such as Material, Customer, Vendor, Finance, BP , etc.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and convert them into functional / technical specifications.
  • Customize MDG Data Models, UI modeling, workflows, BRF+, validations, derivations , and governance processes.
  • Integrate SAP MDG with ECC, S / 4HANA, SAP PO / PI, APIs, IDocs , and other external systems.
  • Support data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, consolidation, and data load .
  • Troubleshoot issues related to MDG workflows, UI, data replication, and process flows.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user training.
  • Ensure data quality, governance rules, and compliance standards are maintained.
  • Work with Agile / Scrum teams to deliver high-quality enhancements and support.

Technical Skills (MDG Technical Profile)

  • Strong experience in ABAP, ABAP OO, WebDynpro, FPM .
  • Hands-on in MDG UI Modelling, Floorplan Manager (FPM) .
  • Good knowledge of SAP Workflow , BRF+, and rule modeling.
  • Experience with MDG Data Models, SMT mapping, Data Replication Framework (DRF) .
  • Knowledge of HANA, CDS views, OData / Gateway services , and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of SAP Fiori architecture (optional but preferred).

    • Functional Skills (MDG Functional Profile)

  • Strong domain understanding of MDM processes , data standards, and governance.
  • Experience with Business Partner , Customer / Vendor, Material, or Finance master data.
  • Ability to define business rules, governance processes, and approval workflows.
  • Knowledge of S / 4HANA processes and integration points.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver on time.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with MDG Consolidation and MDG-F .
  • Exposure to MDG on S / 4HANA .
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum environments.
