Job Summary :
As a ServiceNow DevOps Engineer you collaborate tightly with the other ServiceNow DevOps Engineers and the IT Business Analysts.Your job is the technical conception and practical implementation of solutions for our customers from different corporate segments. You are responsible for advanced designing, implementing, testing, documentation and deploying solutions. This by use of state of the art, agile software engineering methods.
The position will need to have experience in ServiceNow development, but also have strong knowledge & experience in a broad range of technologies like Web Services and IT in general. You will be embedded within an international, remote working team which is responsible for the Strategy, Operations and Development of the Enterprise Service Management platform.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Support the development and configuration of a variety of areas of the ServiceNow platform. Primarily in Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO), and its Integrations with a broad variety of Enterprise applications.
- Responsible for researching, planning, and delivering solutions as defined in the ServiceNow roadmap.
- Perform all necessary discovery and fact finding to fully understand more complex business problems and opportunities and independently execute all assignments.
- Establishes and manages system integrations and automations in ServiceNow.
- Using SCRUM / Agile methodologies design and develop / configure forms, workflows, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting.
- Create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow
- Researches and applies available ServiceNow hotfixes, patches and upgrades while ensuring configurations and customizations function as expected.
- Offer technical solutions to address complex requirements. Evaluate alternate solutions, identify the best option, and implement the solution.
- Create technical architecture, design, and user guide documentation.
- Responsible helping to grow and provide guidance to more junior developers.
Competencies & Experience Required / Desired :
12 years of IT experience with 5+ years of experience as a key technical resource executing on design and development on the ServiceNow Platform.In-depth understanding of and experience working with Enterprise Service Management processesIn-depth knowledge of UI design and strong UI programming skills along with Service Portal configuration and Reporting and AnalyticHands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and customizing Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JAVA Script, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, etc.)Proficient in integration of disparate systems using SOAP and REST APIs along with scripted `Webservices.Strong knowledge on Single Sign On, LDAP, Mid Server and automations using Integration HubExcellent written and oral communication skills - high standard of accuracyAbility to multi-task across project / initiatives and deliver according to time commitments.Good experience with the following technologies / tools / processes :
a. ServiceNow Admin Certification / ServiceNow Implementation Certification preferred.
b. ITIL v3 / V4 Foundations Certification
c. TEOA (LEAN, SixSigma) processes and tools
Educational Required :
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related discipline.Proficient written and verbal communications skills in English(CEFR C1). Additional language(s) are welcome.High capacity for autonomous work with accurate reporting and feedback to manager.
