Writers INK is India's first premier storytelling program dedicated to identifying, nurturing, and catalyzing creative minds to write impactful stories. This nationwide initiative offers educational programs and industry access to aspiring writers and filmmakers. It also aims to provide them tools to help them navigate a filmmaking career and a thriving community to grow together.

Role Description

This is a full-time, entry-level, on-site role for a Program and Community Manager located in Bengaluru.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Help scale the education programs of Writers INK
  • Help organize various promotional and networking events
  • Drive partnerships with organizations like film festivals, film related companies
  • Assist Executive Director in all administrative work related to program operations
  • Work with the social media team to oversee social media communication
  • Help with research and data gathering to help scale Writers INK
  • Help organize year-round and membership programs of Writers INK

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts, Literature, Media, Communication, Film Studies, or related field
  • A min 1-year experience in film-related organizations such as film festivals, film societies etc.
  • Freshers right out of college can also apply but should have demonstrable experience in managing college events, film societies etc.; experience in managing partnerships, events, or outreach activities
  • Excellent communication and networking skills; ability to engage with collaborators, film festivals, and industry stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of film industry; especially festivals, screenings, and production house
  • Familiarity with social media management and ability to coordinate with creative teams
  • Passion for nurturing creative communities and supporting talent
  • Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace / Canva
  • Skills Required
