Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities :   (may be used to create job postings)

Accounting

  • Responsible for supervising the team working on North America General Ledger activities for both L-Sitel & L-Sykes.
  • Approves Journal Entries in both SAP ByDesign (L-Sitel) and Oracle (L-Sykes) by auditing transactions.
  • Familiarity with all elements of the Balance Sheet (Accruals, Prepaids, Cash, Intercompany, Equity, Debt, Intangibles, etc.)
  • Ability to lead and guide staff on project works, Account Reconciliations, and its analysis.
  • Identifies areas of process improvement and drives change in identified areas
  • Supports Annual Audits by providing information and answers to auditors.
  • Helps build and maintain internal controls and works with internal audit to ensure compliance.
  • Protects Organizations value by keeping information confidential.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Proactively involve in developing India shared services
  • Build effective relationships with the key finance stakeholders across the globe
  • Identify and implement process improvement projects
  • Typical Qualifications :   (education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities typically needed to perform this job)

    Education   (if beyond High School or equivalent) : Bachelor of Commerce from recognized University and MBA from recognized institution / CA / CPA equivalent

    Experience Target   (in this job or a related function / field) :

  • 10+ years progressively responsible experience in in general accounting, audit, and financial reporting (US GAAP / IFRS)
  • Should have exposure to the accounting and reporting in multinational company (F&A BPO / F&A Shared Services Center)
  • Should have held leadership roles especially around managing, re-organizing, and building high functioning teams and interacting with Global leaders
  • Should have proven record of process improvements projects in the current / previous organization
  • Should have worked on known ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, BPC)
  • Experience with ERP transitions a plus.
  • Public accounting experiences a plus.

  • Must possess superior communication skills to manage processes across the region.

  • Should be able to build solutions, drive consensus across stakeholders and help them make the right choices
  • Ability to work without the requirement of direct supervision
  • Ability to be hands-on and work on strategic projects
  • Attention to detail, excellent planning and organizing skills, especially prioritizing multiple projects / tasks.
  • Problem Solving

  • Must possess analytical skills. Responsible for advanced problem solving and must filter, prioritize, analyze and validate information.
  • Must analyze and resolve issues in a variety of complex situations and diverse activities.
  • Must break down functions and processes into key tasks and be able to design processes to be able to execute from a remote environment at higher effectiveness and efficiency levels.
  • Special Certifications   (if appropriate identify if required to perform the job or just preferred) :

  • CA / CPA / equivalent (preferred)
  • Green belt certification (preferred)
  • Data analysis (preferred)
