Job description

We’re Hiring : Senior Draftsman

Location : Thrissur, Kerala

Consultancy : IN Design Services

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Draftsman with 8+ years of experience in interior fit-out and joinery works. The ideal candidate should be technically sound, detail-oriented, and able to deliver precise and efficient drawings while coordinating with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Experience Required : 8+ years (UAE / India experience preferred)

Immediate joiners preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare, review, and develop detailed drawings for fit-out and joinery works.
Ensure all drawings are technically accurate, coordinated, and aligned with design intent.
Provide value engineering (VE) options and technical solutions for design and site-related issues.
Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methodologies.
Ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and clients.
Maintain high drafting speed while ensuring quality and accuracy.
Review design intent drawings and prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical details.
Identify discrepancies in drawings and propose corrective actions.
Support the project team in resolving technical and drawing-related queries on site.
Maintain drawing records and revisions systematically.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Diploma / Degree in Civil / Architecture / Interior Design or equivalent.

8+ years of drafting experience with a strong background in fit-out and joinery works (UAE / INDIA experience preferred).

Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.

Solid understanding of interior architectural detailing, joinery works, and fit-out technicalities.

Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Immediate availability preferred.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

Familiarity with Revit / BIM drafting (optional but beneficial).

Experience working with design consultants and contractors in UAE / INDIA.

Problem-solving mindset with proactive technical inputs.
