Job Summary
The Technician will be responsible for installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of Swagelok fluid system components, ensuring high performance, safety, and quality. Will support production / field teams, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system operation.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and maintain Swagelok fittings, valves, tubing, and associated components in fluid systems.
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on Swagelok assemblies.
- Troubleshoot fluid system issues — leaks, pressure drop, misalignment, wear & tear, etc.
- Inspect and test system assemblies to ensure they meet required quality and safety standards.
- Read technical drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), schematics to plan installations / repairs.
- Ensure proper tools and calibration for measuring flow, pressure, and leak detection.
- Maintain spare parts inventory : track, request, and manage replacements.
- Document work done : report maintenance logs, equipment health, repair history.
- Coordinate with engineering / quality teams for improvements, modifications, or upgrades.
- Ensure adherence to safety norms and hygiene standards at work site.
Qualifications & Skills
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.Experience : 1-3 years (or more) working with fluid systems, valves, or similar equipment.Knowledge of Swagelok fittings & components is a plus.Good understanding of leaks, pressure systems, flow behavior.Skilled with hand tools, calibration tools, measuring devices.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Basic troubleshooting skills.Good communication skills; ability to report clearly.Skills Required
