About the Company

LightYears Health is the future of preventive healthcare for India’s 400 million+ aging population. We’re launching India’s first platform of health solutions to address aging-related health concerns such as osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome, and healthy transition to menopause. The LightYears R&D team includes PhDs from across the country, who have studied at prestigious institutions such as IIT Delhi and Jamia Hamdard University. LightYears was incubated at MIT.

What Are Your Responsibilities?

1. Go-To-Market Strategy & Launch

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and launch timelines.
  • Research, evaluate, and select packaging vendors, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics, sustainability goals, and cost parameters.
  • Identify and onboard manufacturing partners through rigorous vetting processes, considering quality standards, scalability, and compliance requirements.

2. Product Development & R&D Coordination

  • Partner with the R&D team to facilitate iterative product development cycles, including sample tastings, formulation feedback, and specification finalization.
  • 3. Manufacturing & Production Management

  • Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations from pilot batches through scaled production runs.
  • Conduct on-site production oversight at manufacturing facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and batch specifications.
  • Coordinate with legal teams to establish and maintain R&D and manufacturing contracts for each production batch.
  • 4. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

  • Develop and manage a robust supply chain network for raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and labels.
  • Build relationships with differentiated and cost-effective suppliers to optimize margins while maintaining quality.
  • Implement inventory management systems to track stock levels across warehouses and fulfillment centers.
  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs) to ensure optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
  • 5. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Establish and oversee regular product testing protocols as defined by the R&D team.
  • Ensure all batches meet FSSAI and other relevant regulatory compliance standards.
  • Maintain detailed batch records, certificates of analysis (COAs), and compliance documentation.
  • What Qualifications Are We Looking For?

    1. Bachelor's degree is required. B.Sc. or B.Tech. in Food Sciences or Biotechnology or Bachelors in Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy) is preferred.

    2. 4+ years of experience in managing e-commerce operations for a consumer products company is required. Experience managing Shopify and / or Amazon FBA operations is preferred.

    3. Experience in managing supply chain and manufacturing operations for food and / or nutraceutical companies is preferred.
