Position Title : Manager, Android

Description :

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Technical Lead Manager (TLM) for our Android Engineering team. This role combines deep technical expertise in Android development with strong leadership and team management skills. The ideal candidate will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.

What Will You Be Doing?

Lead the design, development, and deployment of Android applications.

Make architectural decisions and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Mentor and guide a team of Android engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineering teams to define and deliver product features.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Drive technical initiatives and contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development.

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Manage team performance, career development, and hiring processes.

What Do You Need to Bring?

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

9 – 12 years of experience in Android development with a strong command of Kotlin and Java. – nice to have

Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing technical projects.

Deep understanding of Android SDK, architecture components, and design patterns.

Experience with RESTful APIs, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI / CD pipelines.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Provide regular feedback and support career growth of team members.

Align team goals with organizational objectives and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Act as a role model for engineering excellence and innovation.

Preferred Skills :

Experience with Jetpack Compose and modular app architecture.

Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Espresso and JUnit.

Knowledge of performance optimization and memory management techniques.

Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs.

Experience working in Agile development environments.
