We are seeking a skilled Telecom Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and automating tools in the telecommunications domain, with a focus on network operations center (NOC) tools and data parsing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications, scripting, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and automate tools for the telecom domain, with a particular focus on NOC and telecom network operations / integrations.
- Capture and analyze data from network routers to create efficient NOC tools
- Parse DCGK (Data Collection and Generation Kit) data files and create corresponding XML scripts
- Design, develop, and maintain XML scripts for various telecom applications
- Implement automation solutions using Python to streamline network operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation and process improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated systems and scripts
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in telecom automation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in developing automation tools for the telecom industryStrong knowledge of XML scripting and schema designProficiency in Python programming languageSolid understanding of Linux / Unix operating systems and command-line interfacesExperience with parsing complex data files, particularly DCGK dataFamiliarity with network protocols and telecommunications conceptsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsMust have knowledge on Ericsson and Nokia telecom HWMust have knowledge on Command Line Interface scriptingPreferred Qualifications
Experience with network management systems and NOC operationsKnowledge of additional scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Shell scripting)Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plusCertifications in networking or telecommunications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
