Key Responsibilities :

• Safety First : Demonstrate 100% commitment to Weir’s zero-harm behaviours in support of the drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
• Design and development : Creating automated solutions using programming languages like VBA, .NET, Java, or Python, and scripting languages to automate tasks in CAD software like UGNX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and others.
• Workflow optimization : Identifying areas for improvement in design workflows, boosting productivity, and reducing non-value-added activities.
• Integration : Collaborating with product owners, Product CoEs, Technology Groups and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of CAD automation tools with other engineering systems.
• Maintenance and support : Maintaining and troubleshooting automation scripts and tools, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and proper functionality.
• Collaboration : Working with cross-functional teams, clients, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, develop solutions, and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Testing and validation : Thoroughly testing and validating CAD automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and deliver the desired results.
• Documentation : Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all automation solutions and workflows.
• Staying updated : Keeping abreast of new technologies and advancements in CAD and automation, AI and other technologies to improve and refine existing solutions.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications :

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Applications with a minimum of 6-10 years’ experience in the area of CAD and Engineering automation.
