SQL Database Administrator

Job Title : SQL Database Administrator (DBA) - Support

Experience : 5 - 15 Years

Location : Greater Noida

Employment Type : Responsibilities :

• Provide day-to-day support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances in production and non-production environments.
• Perform database backups, recovery, migration, and restoration activities.
• Monitor database performance, tune queries, and optimize indexing / partitioning strategies.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning (Always On, clustering, replication, log shipping, mirroring).
• Manage user access, roles, and security policies to safeguard data.
• Automate routine tasks using scripts (T-SQL, PowerShell, etc.).
• Handle incidents, service requests, and root cause analysis for database-related issues.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to support business applications.
• Document database configurations, processes, and standard operating Skills :
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL Server administration Experience with backup & recovery strategies, HA / DR solutions, and replication technologies.
• Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and networking concepts.
• Hands-on experience in database security, auditing, and compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork to Have :
• Exposure to NoSQL / other RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge of automation frameworks / DevOps tools.
• Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server / Azure Database.
