Job Description
Candidate shall be Civil Engineering Graduate / Post Graduate, having 17 to 20 years’ experience in EPCC / EPCM Company in Oil & Gas Sector, with minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in offshore industry.
Out of the total experience, candidate shall have at least 5 years’ experience working as Lead Engineer & 5 years’ experience as Dy. Lead Engineer and being responsible for Design & Drawing Verification of FPSO Topside modules, MTO & Cost control, and Schedule & MH control.
Is accountable for technical integrity of structural engineering activities and deliverables.
Interface coordination and meetings on critical issues with Client / Vendor’s / Class authorities / Construction Fabrication Yards / Project / other Engineering departments.
Review of contract document, obtain clarifications vide Technical queries and Ensure that all the team members are well aware of contract conditions.
Shall apply holistic approach & broader vision to solve the interface issues amicably and shall provide technical leadership and guidance to all team engaged on the project, apply team building approach & problem solving attitude during job execution.
Ensure timely response to queries from owner / fabrication yards / vendors.
Manage and control engineering sub-contractor’s performance with respect to schedule and quality of deliverables.
Candidate must hold sound knowledge of SACS, STAAD Pro and Navis Works software.
Must familiar with design specifications and Codes AISC, API RP2A, Conceptual study, FEED & other studies.
Must familiar with detailed study of loads and loading combinations used for offshore design.
Must familiar with perform and review different type of analysis for Topside module’s (In-Place, Hydro Test, Lift Analysis, Barge Transportation, Load-Out Analysis, Spectrum analysis, Dynamic analysis.
Shall be able to perform and review FEM analysis for typical joint connections.
Must hold sound knowledge of strength, buckling, fatigue and dynamic behavior of structures.
Review of Module wise breakdown MTO.
Review of Weight Control Report (WCR)
Shall participate in 3D model reviews, constructability review.
Must Familiar with class authority approvals like ABS, DNV etc.
Must Familiar with 3D environment working software’s, such as E3D, BOCAD, SP3D, TEKLA.
