Role Description

We are looking for a

Database Expert

specializing in

TimescaleDB

and

PostgreSQL optimization . You will be responsible for architecting, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale time-series databases that power our analytics pipelines.

Your day-to-day will include designing efficient schemas, improving query performance, implementing continuous aggregates and materialized views, and ensuring our systems are fast, scalable, and reliable. You will collaborate closely with the data engineering and backend teams to ensure smooth data flow from ingestion to analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain high-performance TimescaleDB schemas optimized for time-series workloads.

Implement

materialized views ,

continuous aggregates , and

UML-driven database design .

Conduct

normalization ,

indexing , and

compression

to optimize storage and performance.

Profile and optimize slow queries, background jobs, and large joins.

Ensure database

integrity, consistency, and security

across environments.

Collaborate with developers to integrate database logic into backend services.

Develop and maintain database documentation, UML diagrams, and performance monitoring dashboards.

Qualifications

Skills in Database Administration and managing Databases

Proficiency in Database Design and Data Modeling

Strong Analytical Skills

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Strong understanding of TimescaleDB and time-series data

Ability to work independently and remotely

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Experience working in blockchain and cryptocurrency industries, or knowledge of Web3, Trading and Hyperliquid is a plus.
