Job Purpose : This position will be responsible for book closure, preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage a team of finance professionals involved in accounting, book closure, and reporting activities.
Ensure timely review of general ledger (GL), cost centre, and enforce strong internal financial controls.
Prepare trial balances (TB) for book closure and ensure all journal entries including Ind-AS adjustments in SAP / Tally; pass closure entries where required.
Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books across entities in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare detailed audit workpapers, including comprehensive analysis of expenses, revenues, assets, and liabilities.
Draft and finalize standalone and consolidated financial statements in Excel, as per applicable accounting standards (Ind-AS / IFRS).
Ensure compliance with statutory filings, including TDS and GST remittance, and submission of monthly / quarterly returns.
Oversee MIS reporting and financial analysis, providing meaningful insights to leadership.
Collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure seamless financial reporting and book closure.
Work closely with other departments to gather required information for audit and reporting purposes.
Experience :
7 plus years of Strong work experience in a finance and audit team. Candidate should have experience working on book closure, IND AS, Consolidation, audit & compliance. Experience with SAP required.
Handled more than 30 entities and experience in accounting for merger, de-merger and slump sale
Qualification : Qualified Chartered Accountant
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies :
Strong Accounting Expertise – Sound knowledge of Ind-AS, IFRS, and Indian GAAP with hands-on experience in financial statement preparation and book closure.
ERP & Tools Proficiency – Experience working on SAP, Tally, and advanced Excel for accounting, reporting, and consolidation.
Audit & Compliance Knowledge – Familiarity with statutory audit, internal audit processes, and compliance related to TDS, GST, and other financial regulations.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to analyse financial data, perform variance analysis, and resolve accounting issues efficiently.
Team Management & Collaboration – Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and coordinate with cross-functional departments.
Communication & Time Management – Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to manage deadlines during month-end / year-end closure.
