Summary :

The Business Development expert will focus on acquiring new deals and projects in wastewater management, while collaborating closely with the technical team to ensure effective project delivery. This role involves shaping the business development infrastructure by identifying market

opportunities, conducting market studies, and building relationships with potential partners and clients. The candidate is expected to be a go-getter by ethical means and will play a key role in strategic decision-making, balancing high-level strategy with hands-on sales responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Market Development : Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the wastewater management sector on PAN India basis, including market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Client Acquisition : Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and projects, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with the technical team to ensure project feasibility and successful delivery, aligning client expectations with technical capabilities.
  • Strategic Planning : Contribute to high-level strategic decisions by analysing market data and identifying growth opportunities for the company's products and services.
  • Networking : Engage in industry networking, attending relevant conferences and events to establish and strengthen partnerships and collaborations.
  • Sales Strategy : Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue targets, including pricing strategies and promotional initiatives.
  • Reporting : Monitor and report on business development activities, working on set CRM systems and providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualification & Skill Requirements :

  • BE Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental. Management degree in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in sales & business development for Water / Wastewater treatment projects, especially Sewage Treatment Plants
  • Proven experience in business development and sales in the wastewater or environmental sector.
  • Should have good negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of wastewater management practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on results-driven performance.
