YODA also focuses on vaccination and sterilization of stray dogs and cats to reduce the stray population and prevent diseases such as rabies. Additionally, YODA is committed to raising awareness and educating the public about animal welfare.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Veterinarian Surgeon located in Panaji. The Senior Veterinarian Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and treating medical conditions in animals, performing surgical procedures, supervising veterinary staff, and providing post-operative care. Other responsibilities include conducting medical examinations, developing treatment plans, and ensuring the implementation of vaccination and sterilization programs. The Senior Veterinarian Surgeon will also be involved in behavioral rehabilitation and work closely with other team members to enhance animal welfare.QualificationsProficiency in diagnosing and treating animal medical conditionsAdvanced surgical skills and experience in performing various proceduresAbility to supervise and lead veterinary staffCompetence in post-operative care and developing treatment plansExperience in animal behavioral rehabilitationCommitment to animal welfare and ethical treatment practicesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsVeterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited institution
