The Enterprise Data Platforms Organization enables the business functions with an integrated and intuitive Enterprise platform services in the field of Databases, Integration and Analytical Platform services.
We are seeking an experienced IBM Watson Explorer Data Engineer with extensive experience in installation, upgrades, API integration, and performance optimization. This role will lead upgrade efforts, drive architectural improvements, and ensure seamless enterprise integration.
Roles & Responsibilities :
IBM Watson Platform Engineer - (3-10 Years of Experience)
- Install, configure, and optimize Watson Explorer Foundational and Analytical Components
- Lead full upgrades of Watson Explorer (e.g., version 12.03.xx)
- Ensure post-upgrade system compatibility and stability
- Plan and manage upgrade timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications
- Enhance and configure collections for indexing, performance, and relevance
- Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain REST API integrations for search and data ingestion
- Conduct integration, regression, and performance testing
- Analyse system logs and metrics to identify and resolve issues
- Apply and enforce security best practices for data and APIs
- Document configurations, APIs, and upgrade procedures
- Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to resolve latency or performance issues
- Take ownership of tasks and lead technical delivery
Required Skills & Experience
Graduation with 3-10 years of working experience on Tableau platform administrationStrong hands-on experience in IBM Watson Explorer (WEX)Proficient in installation, upgrade planning, and compatibility managementDeep understanding of REST APIs, data ingestion, and integrationExpertise in system performance tuning and collection optimizationExperience in security enforcement, testing, and documentationTickets handling with Service Now or any other ticketing tools.Expertise in Documentations for maintaining Security / CSQA standards.Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Handle business requirements and queries.Scripting experience for automation tasks (e.g., data extraction, cleanup, monitoring)Familiarity with Git for version control (clone, commit, push)Basic knowledge of system administration and networkingStrong soft skills : teamwork, collaboration, communication, and problem-solvingAdditional Details :
Availability to work flexible work hours is / may be required.
