Job Purpose
The Onsite Search Lead is responsible for defining the strategy and execution roadmap for onsite search across all vidaXL markets. This role leads and supports a team of Onsite Search Analysts and Specialists, to increase search relevance, search conversions and with that the overall customer search experience. They are also responsible for setting the right priorities and (sprint) planning, creating roadmaps and are the main contact person in vendor / search tool management.
Principal Accountabilities
- Define and align onsite search strategy and long-term vision with business goals.
- Translate strategy into roadmaps and bi-weekly sprint plans .
- Manage search tooling vendors , evaluating performance, upgrades, and commercial agreements.
- Provide strategic direction and coaching to Search Specialists and Analysts.
- Ensure KPIs such as search relevance, search conversion, and CTR are continuously improved.
Required Skills, Know-How & Experience
5+ years of experience in e-commerce, search optimization, or digital product management.Strong leadership and project management skills, including Agile / sprint methodologies.Experience working with search engines.Ability to translate business goals into technical search strategies.Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.Fluent in English
