Test Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled

Lead Automation Testing Engineer

with strong expertise in

Selenium, Python, and API testing . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks, leading test automation initiatives, and mentoring team members. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, technical leadership, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks using

Selenium with Python .

Drive

API automation testing

strategies using Python and tools like

Postman / RestAssured / Requests library .

Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define and implement effective test strategies.

Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing.

Perform root-cause analysis of defects and ensure quick turnaround on fixes.

Mentor and guide junior automation engineers within the team.

Ensure adherence to QA best practices, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide technical leadership in test automation and contribute to overall QA roadmap.

Required Skills & Experience

7–9 years

of experience in

Automation Testing , with at least 3+ years in a lead / mentorship role.

Strong hands-on experience with

Selenium WebDriver

and

Python .

Expertise in

API test automation

(REST / SOAP APIs) using Python libraries or tools.

Solid understanding of

automation frameworks

(Hybrid, Data-driven, Page Object Model, BDD / TDD).

Experience with

CI / CD pipelines

(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).

Good knowledge of

test management tools

(JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Good to Have

Exposure to

performance testing

tools (JMeter, Locust).

Experience with

cloud environments

(AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of containerization tools like

Docker / Kubernetes .
