Job description

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Java, REST Assured for API testing, and Appium for mobile testing.
  • Design and implement automation frameworks for API, backend, and mobile application testing.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to identify test scenarios.
  • Integrate automated tests with CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing for APIs and mobile applications.
  • Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and report defects using tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Ensure API contracts adhere to standards using tools like Postman, Swagger, and OpenAPI.
  • Implement mocking and stubbing strategies for API testing.
  • Automate mobile testing for Android and iOS applications using Appium.
  • Collaborate in Agile environments using methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.

Requirements :

  • 5+ years of experience in automation testing.
  • Strong proficiency in Java (8+), REST Assured, and Appium.
  • Experience in API testing, request validation, and response verification.
  • Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI / CD, etc.).
  • Experience with version control systems like Git / GitHub / GitLab.
  • Knowledge of database testing using SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth, etc.).
  • Experience in mobile automation testing using Appium for Android and iOS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    • Nice to Have :

  • Experience in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
  • Understanding of security testing concepts like OWASP API Security.
  • Experience with Selenium (Optional).
