Overview :

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer who thrives on architecting and executing migration projects, specifically transitioning codebases from PHP to Python. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, improving legacy systems, and working collaboratively in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Participate in migrating existing PHP applications to Python, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Python.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and DevOps, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Analyze existing PHP codebases to define migration strategies and identify potential challenges.
Develop and execute tests to ensure successful migration with minimal disruption.
Optimize applications for performance and scalability post-migration.
Document migration processes and architecture changes for team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Computer Science.

Strong programming experience in PHP with demonstrated ability to understand and work within legacy codebases.

Proficiency in Python with experience in application development.

Experience with software migration or refactoring projects.

Familiarity with database systems, API design, and version control tools (e.g., Git).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable working in an Agile / Scrum environment and collaborating with diverse teams.

Good communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
